A Bengaluru movement, not another app

The city doesn't
belong to the apps.
The apps belong
to the city.

Druooz is a mobility & local-commerce movement built for the people who move the city and the people who serve it, not the platforms sitting between them. No commission. No hidden fees. No middlemen.

A company with heart. ❤️

🎓 10% of our profit goes straight to educating underprivileged children in India. Flat, no fine print.

Here's what's actually happening

Big platforms charge a platform tax on nearly everything you order, and an in-app "marketing fee" to the restaurant or store just to be seen inside their own app. Neither of those costs disappear. They get folded straight into the inflated price you pay. Meanwhile the driver bringing it to you is paying a 20-30% commission out of every fare, and the small vendor supplying it is being slowly squeezed out by the exact platform that claims to be helping them.

Customers

Pay inflated prices to cover fees you never see, for a cost that was never really that high.

Drivers

Lose 20-30% of every fare to commission, before fuel, maintenance, or a bad day off the road.

Vendors

Pay lakhs in "in-app marketing" just to be visible on a platform that's already taking a cut of every sale.

The Ideology

The old system.

Customer
→
The Platform
←
Driver

The customer pays. The driver works. A giant platform sits in the middle and controls the relationship, while calling itself neutral.

Druooz says: why?

Customer
↔
DRUOOZ
↔
Driver

Druooz doesn't sit above you. It sits with you, as a representative of both sides, not a ruler over either.

Our target isn't a competitor.

Our target is The System, the one where customers become numbers, drivers become IDs, algorithms decide things nobody can question, and small local businesses get run over by giants with no way to compete.

"The industry forgot who it was built for."

Who This Is For

Three sides. One movement.

The Common Citizen

Customers

You wait for a cab, get cancelled on, don't understand pricing, and get treated like a booking ID.

You are not a booking ID.

The Working Citizen

Drivers

Hours on the road. Fuel out of your pocket. Traffic, risk, and an algorithm deciding your day.

You are not an algorithm's employee.

The Local Business

Vendors

Milk vendors, kirana stores, local supermarkets, squeezed out by tech giants with no real way to compete.

Your business deserves a tech partner, not a landlord.

The Manifesto

Six things we won't compromise on.

01

People before profits.

Technology exists to serve people. Not the other way around.

02

The driver is not a number.

A driver isn't an anonymous supply unit. He's a human being running a livelihood.

03

The customer isn't a transaction.

You deserve transparency, dignity, and support, every time.

04

The algorithm isn't above accountability.

If a system makes a decision affecting your money or experience, you should be able to understand and challenge it.

05

The city belongs to everyone.

Mobility shouldn't feel like a privilege controlled by a handful of platforms.

06

Technology should redistribute power.

Not concentrate it.

The Promise

No hidden fees. Ever.

No commission on drivers

Flat, honest subscription. Pay flexibly: daily, weekly, or monthly. Whatever you earn beyond it is yours. No expiry on what you've paid.

No dark stores, no middleman cash

Local vendors keep their own customers and get paid directly. We never sit in your cash flow. We just make you tech-enabled.

No inflated "discounts"

We don't mark a price up to knock it back down. What you see is what it actually costs, usually 25-30% less than the big platforms, honestly.

What We're Building

Starting local. Starting honest.

We're not launching everything at once. We're starting with the categories the giants have ignored: the ones your neighbourhood already depends on.

Before You'd Heard Of Us

We've been shaping this industry from behind the scenes since the start.

Druooz started in Bengaluru because one person had spent enough time on the other side of the app to know the model was broken for drivers. So instead of copying the industry's commission-per-ride playbook, we built something different: Druooz was the first company in India to put drivers on a subscription model instead of a commission model.

We didn't have the budget to make noise about it. But the idea worked, and it didn't stay ours for long. One by one, the giant companies (you know who) started adopting a version of the same subscription model. An idea that started with a handful of drivers in Bengaluru ended up reshaping how the entire Indian cab industry prices its rides.

You've probably never heard of Druooz. But if cab fares have felt a little fairer over the last couple of years, that shift traces back here. We never got the credit, and we were never in the room when other platforms made the switch. But we believe drivers' lives got a little better because of what we built first, even in the years we weren't the ones directly serving them.

The Founder

"I didn't build Druooz from a boardroom.
I built it from the other side of the app."

Druooz wasn't started by an MBA or an investor. It was started by someone who's been on the road, seen what happens when a driver becomes just another ID, and seen what happens when a customer becomes just another transaction, and decided to build the system he'd actually want to use.

Druooz was the first company in India to introduce a subscription-based model for drivers, later adopted across the industry. We know this space because we've lived in it, lost in it, and rebuilt from it.

Radical Transparency

We'll tell you when we mess up.

Every quarter, we publish a Druooz Accountability Report: what we promised, what we delivered, where we failed, and what we're fixing. No corporate spin. Just what actually happened.
